Re: 1st time sailing tonight

I would like to start off by saying thank you to Jeff who had no idea who I was. Let me sail with him and his crew, Jeff your hospitality is overwhelming, you made it possible for me to get a better understanding of something that I have always wanted to do. Now I am truly bit on sailing, and then to get invited back every Thursday, I don't know what to say but thank you.
I also had the pleasure of meeting some great people, sorry I have forgotten your names, but you know who you are. What an experience even thow we couldn't finish the race do to no wind, it was one hell of time. I have to admit I didn't think there were any good hearted people left in this world. I was wrong, thank you to all of you for making my first sailing day a great one.
I can't wait until next time, I have truly found my passion and I will take it forward with the help of my new friends and the friends I haven't met yet.
Thank you Jeff...

P.S. I can't remember who turned me on to sailmonster.com but thank you.

Re: Going sailing

Wednesday night races are the best way for anyone without a boat to get out sailing at our club. Show up and ask around. Racers can always use crew, even those that have no knowledge, as long as the desire is there to learn.

Re: Going sailing

I have a big desire to learn this now, can't wait to get back out. Now I know why there are so many live aboard's and why people want to sail so much. The question was answered, I am bit to sailing.

My first time on a sail boat, I went into it open minded, listened asked a lot of questions and did what the caption told me to do. What a first time expierance, I haven't had this much fun since I signed the divorce papers. LOL, was that wrong...

Re: Going sailing

The odds are pretty good that Skipper will ask you to go out again since you were listening and asking..
