Easter 2010 in Sydney (Oz) Harbour - Sugarloaf Bay?

We spent Good Friday (2009) in Sugarloaf Bay, Sydney. Nice place, looks to have good holding, fairly large, somewhat sheltered.

The weather was mostly fine with a couple of showers Saturday - Monday. This is "normal for Easter in Sydney.

Some of the boats were clearly socialising.

Made me wonder if it would be possible to have a get together next Easter.

It could be a good time as Easter (2010- Good Friday, 2nd April) normally falls just before May1, the accepted end of the cyclone season, and would be the last public holiday before cruising yachts head north for warmer weather.

What might be involved in organising such a get together?

Its a great idea!!!!

Organize by a couple of posts on here and then a few days before go around to Blackwattle Bay and Store Beach and chat to all the internationals and cruisers.

The personal approach works a treat. People love a dink coming over with an invitation

Heh, Easter is, for Insatiable, the Port Esperance Regatta. Port Esperance Sailing Club would have to be Australia's southernmost sailing club and their annual regatta is always great fun, both on and off the water. MAybe you could plan the get together there next year?

Jeeze, Patrick, by Easter it's getting bloody cold in Esperance, but maybe we will be there anyway. Seems like we always stay too damn long in Tassie and freeze our buns off going north.

But, if we were there, we'd likely show up!

Cheers,
