Re: Dutch tourist murdered on sailing boat off Colombia coast

Maybe they should call Robert Wagner for some insight.

Re: Dutch tourist murdered on sailing boat off Colombia coast

I leave in Cholon, some 4 nautical miles from the site of the accident. I know the first people that went to Lazy Duck when Peter started yelling after Durdana was killed. That was a light rainy night with no wind and there benn many houses around the small bay no one listend to any single boat rowing or to any outboard engine that night. Peter did not use the Marine radio that would have let him reach people nearby; instead he used a cell phone to call police 20 miles away on land. For all that, most people here think the six intruders story is fantastic.

I think this has been discussed before. It was found that any claims are unbased and biased, and Colombia a cruisers' paradise.

There is no point in convincing people with deep conviction. Go get killed, learn for yourself.

Re: Dutch tourist murdered on sailing boat off Colombia coast

I ussually remind the issue when I see Lazy Duck still moored at the Colombian Navy dock beside many other boats and yard made submarines that have been captured with illegal drugs while the case is handled between Colombian and Dutch police. There has been some news on the local paper registering when relatives or investigators arrive from Holland in order to pursue the subjet but no conclusion of the matter has been published yet.

It is also known that the captain of the sailboat has hired one of the best criminal lawyers in Cartagena for his defense and also that the son of Durdana came to see the scene.
Anyhow authorities will clarify but most people think that Peter still has more to say.

You are right. If you walk to the end of the main dock by sailboat Gaira you will see Lazy Duck resting unaware of her destiny.
