Thank you so much. That is good news. Glad we are not the only crazy ones!

Re: Current Conditions on the Intracoastal Waterway

Left Deale, Maryland on Nov 17, arrived Brunswick Ga on the 30th. We sat for 2 weather days and enjoyed the sparse boat traffic. Downside to leaving so late was running the genset to keep warm after the sun went down.

Re: Current Conditions on the Intracoastal Waterway

I know of at least one person who is well behind you--heading up Delaware Bay today. The waterway itself is quite enjoyable in the off season, especially if you have heat. The biggest problem is the lack of daylight hours in the day--you can't make as many miles each day. Of course, watch out, especially first thing in the morning, if it has dipped below freezing overnight--decks get very slippery with frost. No bugs to speak of though!

Re: Current Conditions on the Intracoastal Waterway

You are so right about the short dayight. We were getting in to our destinations 19:00 or so on the inside days and 02:30 into Charleston with clouds and rain. Best new accessory for the trip was a night vision scope a crew member brought on board. Amazing equipment. I ordered a hand held FLIR the next day.
