Congratulations to Beth and Evans!

I noticed in the new Latitude 38 that CF's own Beth and Evans just received a cruising award. Congratulations! From reading your posts and blog, I think it is a well-deserved recognition.

Beth Leonard and Evans
Starzinger were awarded the
Ocean Cruising Club's Vasey
Vase award, given to a club
member who has carried out
a "a voyage of an unusual or
exploratory nature." The pair
have been cruising at high latitudes
since building their Van

De Stadt 47
Hawk in 1997, and
won the award — their second
— for their passage to South
Georgia Island last year.

It amazes me some times just how large of a group we as a forum represent and some of the movers and shakers of the sailing fraternity that pass through the doors and bless us with their wisdom...

It really is humbling when you think of it...and also makes you pause and think about ones own laundry (drivel) sent out to air so to speak.

Almost scares me into quiting posting all togather...............................Naw!....Im OK being thought the villiage idiot... at least by my fellow Idiot at Latitude 38 anyway..

Well done Beth and Evans!
