Carib 1500 Tracking - Bahama Fleet on the Way

Great tracking interface on the site. The Bahamas Fleet is going ahead and making a temporary finish of Charleston and then to Abacos. I guess they could alter course and go straight to the Bahamas if the storm changes.

Daily Updates

Monday, November 1
The Bahamas Fleet started today with an altered course. The 11 boats are heading around Cape Hatteras and directly to Charleston. If necessary, they will stay in Charleston until the weather is favorable for the passage to Marsh Harbor in the Abacos. The Event Tracker for the Bahamas classes (Rally class 8 and cruising class 9) is active.
The tentative start for the Tortola-bound fleet is Friday, Nov. 5.

I checked the site early this morning, it will be great to see how both groups get along with the weather, Track Hurricane Tomas / Stormpulse / Hurricanes, severe weather, tracking, mapping , and as those are my preferred routes i will be keeping a keen eye on the site. Great job and fair sailing to all those in the Rally.

We use the SPOT on every trip...overnight or for a month. It is a no-brainer purchase for a cruiser.~ $100 plus ~$100 a year to see on Google Maps. When we take people sailing they can tell family members to follow on SPOT...
