Good-O! thats all we've been asking.

Looking forward to the interview on PBS.

Hope you and the family are getting the chance to relax now.

Oh, and don't be a stranger to the forum.... This has been the longest gap you've ever been away!

Yes,
welcome back, we can wait, and you don't owe us anything, at least I don't think so.

Eric, sorry to hear of your problems, but welcome back!

While you were off-line, I visited one of our RTW friends who had two babies born on their trip. The wife's comment was that her first passage with the babies wasn't her first passage, so it wasn't as stressful as Charlotte's.

BTW, the kids are now teenagers, and have turned out great. Being on a boat full time with both your mother and your dad is soo much better for kids than seeing them a few hours a day when they both go off to work.

Re: Captain's Log, April 30, 2014 from the Rebel Heart Blog

Thanks guys. The vast majority of everyone we've interacted with have been so incredibly supportive and kind; it's made me in particular feel quite small. The sailing community in particular has been awesome. Kindness and generosity doesn't begin to explain the ways we've been treated.

I don't have a ton of time to hang on the forums right now; the media break honestly has been really nice.

But hey, we already started the preliminary boat shopping discussions.

Eric:

I for one would pay for that E-book. Nice thing about this digital age you'll be able to tell the story when you want to tell it and how you want to tell it. The important thing is after your ordeal is that you are able to tell it.

*BIG hug* for you guys, Eric. I can only imagine how tough it's been.

My grandmother used to say that "adversity makes for character". One day, I told her that I had enough character. She then let me know that if I had enough character, I would not have said that. Grandmothers are very wise.
