Anyone hear anything about Bob Pollak being pulled off of his 37' CSY during the same storm by a USCG chopper? Bob said he lost his rudder. His boat was apparently last sighted about 250 miles off of Nova Scotia.

One thing about the buoy reports is that there can be vastly different wave conditons depending upon location. For Example the buoy off of the Columbia River Bar is in 60 meters of water (296') The channel is 14 meters (45') when you read the waves at the buoy I don't believe they represent the wave height in the channel.
