Actually, I am not Ok with that. I refuse to fly anymore. I wrote to several major airlines and informed them that I won't be using their services any more as long as I need to be groped in order to fly. I have dumped the CC that give you airline miles and told them why I have cancelled those cards. I either drive or take the train. If I can't get there that way, I don't go. I just go sailing instead.

Well, perhaps you prefer a free trip to the hereafter to security at the airport?

Most of their "security" is no more than a "I feel good that were doing something" measure.

Yes, I will take my chances. I take a greater risk crossing the street on a daily basis.
Israel has better airport security and they don't grab your balls.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake , Miami Beach)

This thread is not about the TSA, DHA, ICE, credit cards, airline cocktails or any thing else.

Let's get it back on track so it doesn't get closed.

Thank you.

Sorry but cannot 100% agree with that. Certainly some of the security measures are for looks and some downright dumb and probably don't add to airline safety. Perhaps I'm older than most on the forum but remember quite well when planes were being hijacked to Cuba and later other spots, on a regular basis. So when is the last time you heard of that happening?

No the security measures aren't foolproof but without them there is absolutely no doubt at all that a lot more hijacking, kidnappings, bombings and murder of innocent passengers would be happening. To think otherwise is naive at best.

Unless I missed it, somewhere in these 16 pages, couldn't one complain to the USCG that the landowner's nightlight is a hazard to navigation?

Let's not forget.

"All Miami Beach and area boaters are invited to an ‘Anchor Fest’, to be held on July 4th, starting at 2 p.m. The Anchor Fest will be a celebration of American freedom, particularly the freedom Americans have to see all legal rights respected by our politicians."

Be sure to bring your cannons and Hip Hop music.

Re: Bullying on the Waterway ( Sunset Lake , Miami Beach)

For those interested in the status of the MB anchoring situation, there will be an article in the MB Herald in the next few days. I'll either post the entire article or a link to it, depending on length.
It looks to be a fascinating article.
Regarding the Anchor Fest, I'm spent the last two weeks attempting to finalize arrangements with a local boating organization who will be responsible for it. I am currently well north of Miami Beach on my way back to the Great Lakes, and don't have a boat available to me there to participate even if I were able to get there.
I'll post an announcement later today or tomorrow with details on the sponsoring organization.
