where do I find out if there are any boat shows in the area..looking for a show that has sailboats, not powerboats..Thanks for any information..

Miami, FL Boat show in mid February and Annapolis, MD Boat show in early October. These two are the best shows for a lot of boats. You may have other shows closer but they probably won't be that big. You could two days at these shows so it can be worth the trip. Book hotels early. You can buy tickets already for Annapolis.

The Virginia In-Water Boat Expo and Sailfest is in Mid-September. Here's a link:
