Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

For some strange reason the biggest loudmouths of humanity have been predicting our extinction for centuries. So far, they've all been wrong.
I guess they're just big wusses and don't want to die alone like most of us will.

I wish I lived in the US. Can hardly own a baseball bat here in Canada without a license and a police report everyone it leaves your house.

Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

For the Y2K, I quit my job in November 1999 and flew to Oz, because if the world was going to end, I wanted to be some place nice. Of course the world didn't end, so I spent 3 months making friends with the good people of Australia. I was in Belize in May and I asked the local Mayans who were selling the calenders if they thought the end was coming on the 21st, and they said no, it was just the end of the calender, now they might have told me that to sell me a calender, but I would have bought it anyway. Now I think I will move to a remote part of the world and hunker down to wait for the end of the world again on December 21st, oh wait, I live in Alaska, I am already in a remote part of the world. So long SUCKERS! :-D

Oh I know. Forgive me, its been over 12 months since my last submission (to the blog)

Been a funny kind of year and not got much boat stuff done. You know what they say, when you have the time, you dont have the money and when you have the money, you dont have the time

Neither applied to me

I just got lazy and side tracked. Seduced by a renewed affair with shooting and heavily into politics. .

Just starting a new business and will have even less free time.

Re: Apocalypse..any plans?

I knew this thread a great potential as a new guns and politics thread.

Call me an opportunist, but I think I see great potential for a new business dealing in used firearms and depression counseling . I figure after the world doesn't end on 12/21 and the US doesn't fall off the cliff, there will be lots of depressed people who spent their last dollars on firearms and now need to cash out and cry on someone's shoulder.

Wouldn't it be nice if it only effected the religious nuts and conspiracy theorists. Every time I read one of those doom and gloom pages, they're always backed up by some weird 500 year old scripture from some goat herder of the time.

No worries about the cliff then if it's happening on the 21st.
