Another Yacht Hijacked

It is great news that the Dutch family off ING have been released. But unfortunately i have just read on the Ocean Shield website that another private yacht has been pirated in the G.O.A yesterday.

The pirates are still hung over from the $3million dollar party courtesy of the Danish Gov.

It's well known you are taking your chances in some areas of the world. Seems like common sense would be to avoid them........i2f

True; but, common sense isn't all that common.

Re: Another Yacht Hijacked.

$3M ransom?

Heck, sail to Somalia, make a 50-50 deal with the pirates, pay off the boat with the $1.5M kept.

Next year, buy a bigger boat and do it again for $6M. Might as well get a piece of the action, since all the governments condone it.

Keep paying ransoms idiot governments/people- all you are doing is putting more targets on the rest of us.
