Andrew Wall: 1942-2008
Andy Wall, husband of Pam Wall, father, sailor, and Ft. Lauderdale rigger passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack on Wednesday. Our deepest sympathies to Pam and family (Jamie and Samantha). Goto: http://www.cruisingcompass.com/

It's a shame. I recently had a heart attack myself here in Fort Lauderdale and made it. But ALL death is sudden...it happens between one breath and another.

Andy was a dear friend and a good man.
We will miss him a lot. Condolences to Pam. A sad day indeed.

I am sad to hear the news. I just saw them last spring at the Jack London show, spoke to Andy about down wind poles - he was so enthusiastic and helpful. My condolences to Pam (a most knowlegable and dynamic sailor and speaker).
John PS - I was, just last night, asking Lisa the rhetorical question - how much (money) is enough (to get out there cruising again). How many more sunny days do we have left? Pam and Andy are a great insperation to many of us.
