Hello all,
So after my 1st post on this forum, almost 2 years and a half have gone by and today I'm happy to tell you that since then I've come from a happy wanna be sailor to a Coastal
Skipper licence holder.
1 year ago I took the Local
Skipper licence and since December 2010 I'm one of the almost 200 guys that each year, in my country, goes through the Coastal Skipper exam.
Nautical
Charts, Rules of the Sea, Onboard
Security (fire, first-aid),
VHF Radio,
Navigation (azimuths, bearing, latitude...),
MOB, knots, Buoys, Running lights, Tides, Meteo,
Radar, Engines..it was hard but now I'm feeling a lot more confident and really happy.
Next step, Ocean Yachtmaster. But this will need to wait for at least another year.
I must thank you Cruisers Forum for the great teachings and for being such a great forum. I've been
learning a lot (and I still do) with your help!
Cheers!
