It's not part of the board, as I'm not getting it.

Sounds like a bit of a trogan. Might try running a spyware killer like adware or spybot, or something.

Try the anti-spyware program Malware Bytes. Malwarebytes.org

It's the only one I know of that can get rid of the really nasty spyware infections like that one that looks like an antivirus pop-up but then actually infects your computer and holds you hostage trying to sell you an anti-spyware program.

For a while there was a linked pop-up I kept getting. Clean your temps and cookies under "Internet Tools" and say YES to removing all offline content. Reboot and see if that helps. If not, run Ad-aware or similar prog. That'll get it.

Ditto. Malwarebytes.org is a great FREE tool for getting rid of malware.

The only ads you should see here are the usual ones in the header and footer of the board and no pop-ups. We don't share or sell your private info!

Yahoo Toolbar has a great AntiSpy cleaner.... finds Trojans that sometimes elude AVG and other AntiVirus programs.... Just be careful and check the list for removal... if you have a BitTorrent Program it may scrub it as well.....lol

I was getting full screen cruising ads while logged in....it is fixed now apparently something turned off my pop-up blocker and other protection.
