Hello wise sea
men,
My
water maker, ( brand AQUABASE for that maters) ran fine in sea
water the last time I used it . I then rinsed it properly with its own made fresh
water.
I am now trying to use it in the fresh water of Rio Dulce, Guatemama.
It starts fine, turn on its green light showing that the water produced is
salt free , i.e. its resistivity is high, and sent to the fresh watertank by the 3 way valve. Then within 5 or 10 seconds, it switches the green light off as if it had detected
salt (low resistivity)in the fresh water produced and turns the 3 way valve to throw the water produced back in the Rio.
Yet salt cannot come from the Rio which is not salty
In addition, I compared the water in my tank made previously and the water made now: Same absence of taste and same resistance around 30 KOhm measured with an ohmmeter .
Could this be caused by the use of the
water maker in the Rio's fresh waterinstead of sea water ?
I am thirsty for advice
