Hi,I'm new here, how's it going?"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things as a meaningful unity" - Albert Einstein---Patriciahttp://patricia.hub.io

Spammers using PMs

If you get a PM that looks like SPAM, don't reply to it. Just PM a Mod or Admin, including a copy of the PM, with the screen name of the Spammer. You can see who's currently online by looking for the screennames in Bold at the left side of the page, in the "Home Page Portal" view.

We'll take it from there.

Thanks!

I think it is part of exposing yourself to all of the crazy, unstable, lunatic fringe that occupies this board and others like it. Today, I am the King of the Lunatic Fringe... someone else can take the mantle tomorrow.

I wear my hat on backwards when I get to the fringe of lunacy. It confuses the lunatic.
I also dont respond well to spammers.

An administrator could ban that account and its ISP address and be done with the problem.

We do and have banned the account. We don't ban ISP's because then ones that use the same ISP address are also shut out.

thankyou for your response. My intention was never to degenerate anybody s beliefs and I would trust that other people on this site feel the same way. As has been stated by this sites management, tolerance and inclusiveness, is important. But this site is about cruising boats. There is a place for philosophy, religion and sailing, but it should be in a NON JUDGMENTAL, context and I would like to reiterate, by ALL people who participate on this site, Posts should relate to directly to what this site is about. Not barrow pushing. My investment in this post is that I have seen so many forums wrecked by issues other than what the site is about. Argue about the relative merits of wheels mast height, I am sure that It is bigger in NZ than OZ......( an example of fun without hurt) well I did feel a little pain.......
