Thread for Manufacturer Recalls?

Would it be useful to have a thread in Engineering & Systems for people to report manufacturer recalls? Stillraining just posted one about a Brownie Hookah recall that could be very important for people to know about...

United States Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety
Boating Safety Division

Volumes of information under Boating Safety including safety brochures, recall notices, port closures, boating safety courses and how to have your vessel checked.

USCG Boating Safety Circulars:
Boating Safety Circulars

The Coast Guard periodically publishes important notices for the boating public in publications called "Boating Safety Circulars." Content includes advisories about newly identified boating hazards, information on boat defects and recalls, rules and regulations for recreational boats, and other news and information of interest to the boating community.

USCG Recalls Database:
Recalls Database

Are you wondering about the safety record of a boat you own or plan to purchase? The U.S. Coast Guard maintains a database on all manufacturer recalls of recreational boats and related equipment that are due to safety defects and non-compliance. Safety defects are considered to be conditions that can cause failure without warning and that create a substantial risk of personal injury. Use this handy resource to find out whether there have been safety concerns you should know about for a specific recreational boat. [NOT easily searchable]
