Search Engine

Aloha,
The search engine that is listed directly after my signature does not include cruisersforum stuff. Is that by design? I'll just delete it if it doesn't work for items here.
kind regards,
John

Re: Search Engine

Ignore the built-in search function employed by vBulletin, John. Scroll down and use the Google Custom Search.

Re: Search Engine

Ok, I've deleted the search engine that HUD helped me with a while back. It was directly after my signature so it was easy for me to point out to newcomers. The last few times I tried to direct folks to it about past threads in cruisersforum it would not give threads in cruisersforum.

The link you gave me Gord did the same thing. There were other forums answers to questions but not cruisersforum. As an example I typed in ABI Gypsy.

Tao, is the google custom search on the forum page somewhere that I missed?

kind regards,

John

In the menu bar that runs just below your User Name when you're logged in, click on Search . . . in the drop-down menu that opens, scroll down to Google Custom Search and enter your search term. Click Go and you'll quickly have your search result based on a Google search of Cruisers Forum.

For example, I've entered Garmin GPS in the search box and instantly had the result - please see attached screen shots.

Re: Search Engine

Aloha Tao,
Well I'll be dang nabbed if it doesn't work just as you said. However, my page doesn't look like your page which really doesn't bother me all that much.
Thank you and Gord too for responding.
kind regards,

Re: Search Engine

Thanks again Hud. I think I'll leave it off for now. The link you just posted gave me just cruisersforum inputs and the previous link I had just gave me other than cruisersforum inputs. I think I'm better off just referring folks to the search on the second line on the top of the page.
kind regards,
