Quick Reply did not work

I was in the challenge section and wrote a reply to Emergency Hull Repair. After writting my reply I clicked Post Qucik Reply and it told me that I was not authorized to use that and that I was not an autorized user. It was a very lengthly reply, do not want to do again unless I know it will work. Site Administer where did my quick reply go. Thank you for your time and all that you do. Mike

Sea Maid,
It has also happened to me. I now copy the reply just in case I get the same message.

I have encountered this a couple of times over the years, but it is only a brief glitch. John's advice is the best approach. Select all, and copy, then post. If you continue to have problems, please let us know.

I hate it when that happens. Fortunately it hasn't happened to me here but unfortunately has happened on other sites.

If I am going to type a long one I copy it to the clipboard before posting, just in case. Sometimes a board's software can time out.
