Thumbs up Photos needed

Being new here and going thru the process of finding 'the boat' I'd try to click on a poster to see his/her boat. I was dismayed to find that these are not connected at all, that you must go to the gallery and enter the poster's name in the search--if they did post any photos at all.

Now I ask, can anyone resist looking at anyone's sailboat? Especially if you are thinking of purchasing that model? Sure we have some 'fixer-uppers' (we have one) but to see the bones? To see the floorplans? To see the specs? Are we not all proud of our boat no matter what the condition? Should we not share this valuable info with others?

I would like to suggest that our photo gallery would allow one to show photos of their boat accessible from their profile. Perhaps many questions on these boards would be solved by access by a profile alone. Rigging, floorplans, problems, modifications, would seem to be an inspiration for the type of boat one has or aspires to own.

I heartily encougage any boat owner to show improvements, layout and specs to post photos. I would like to see this info to be a part of one's profile. I love this place and hope it makes #1 for camaraderie and knowledge worth sharing--it's already #1 to me.

A very hearfelt thanks to everyone here--this place rocks!

Good idea. The profile does allow one to link a home page. I just added a Maxi 77 site to mine. Let's see if it works.

It doesn't appear to work if you click on my name and then click on "visit home page." It does work if you view my public profile and then select my home page there. Weird...

Anyway, it's not "my" home page (never enough time) but it is a maxi 77 page...

Don't know how we missed this...

If you click on a user name next to their post you will find a drop down menu. Select 'view gallery uploads' to see any pics they've loaded.

Hope this helps.

My kid set me up with a myspace. LOL I know, but some things I have no interest in like setting up a website or home page. I started with the idea to keep a record of how I'm putting together a watermaker with a few photos. I kinda went picture crazy.
