Photo Help

How do i get the photo thumbnails to display within the body of a post? All I can get to display is a link to the image - not the thumbnail itself..

Yeah.

You technophiles on this forum should give a blow by blow detailed post on how that works.

How-to post a photo inside a post on a thread?

Glad you brought that up Mark. I have been thinking about that myself. And never got around to saying anything about this subject.

While we are on this subject, who is having trouble "seeing" the thumbnails? I know Lori, you were, have you sorted it? or do you need help still.
We are working in the background on this and are not sure what is going on. So we would love to know who else is having trouble, or is it just a small event.
If you can reply with a "Yes or No I can/can't see the thumbnails" and what browser and version you are using, we maybe able to start seeing a pattern which could lead us in the right direction.
Thanks

Using FireFox 1.5.0.4 and can see the thumbnails OK.

Have also found that if I right click "Copy Image Location" when viewing the thumbnail, then the thumbnail is what gets pasted between the [img] tags. If I first click on the thumbnail and go to the full image, then right click -> Copy Image Location, then the full size photo will appear between the [img] tags.

Kinda what you'd expect as I think about it....

Where is the "manage attachments" feature to be found?

Is this a failed experiment?

Hi there. No, I did not get the problem solved. I have checked every setting I can think of on my system, including my firewall and picture software and can not seem to fix it. FWIW I can see all the pictures in the photo galleries, plus I can see larger pictures, such as the one in Vasco's post, but if Rick had actual pictures in his post right afterwards they are not visible to me. I am using Windows XP Pro, SP2 with IE 6.0.

Thanks Lori. That's actually been a really big help. It tells us a modern OS still has the problem, so that rules out my WIN98SE as a possible cause.
We are still trying.
Anyone else with the problem???

Oh and yes Lori, both Rick and DefJef had pic's as thumbnails.
All I get is a rectangle box with it's outline in blue and the words "attached thumbnails" above the box. The box appears empty. I presume you see the same.
However, if you actually try hard enough, on the extreme left side of the box, if you move your cursor around, it will actually change to a hand on a very small area. It's like a dot it's that small. You really have to try to be able to find it. If you click on it when it turns to a hand, It will open the thumbnail to the full size picture.

Yes, that is exactly what I see. (or don't see)

Thanks, Wheels, that worked. Interestingly enough, Rick's thumbnail box had a little dash in it, which was the spot to click. Defjef's did not have the mark, so I had to search around a little for it. But at least I can see the pictures that way. Thanks for that tip

Oh and defjef, cute puppies!

Computer box?? Noisy Fan?? My <thick> keyboard is grey on a black background....this same <thick> keyboard occasionally bellows warm air out of the side, but it doesn't make any noise...unless I hit the wrong buttons. Hmmmmm...that description kinda sounds like Rick!

Rick:
There’s ya problum [i]“...TV/Computer screen is neutral grey and my computer box w/noisy fan is neutral grey...”.
Gotta go to either newfangled Charcoal Grey or Beige (what i gots).
Lori:
Shut if off - QUICK !!! This is sign of impending meltdown, a sorta’ “China Syndrome” common to Grey/Black equipment.
