New Post selection errors

I normally log on and then go to the "new posts" selection. I have noticed some errors in the selection before, but it seems to be getting worse. Today I had a lot of posts in the "new" part including one where I had been the last poster on 10 July!

We are getting a lot of spam lately Talbot. So far our team have been very fast in spotting it and deleting it. So you may never have seen a post. However, there will be a tag saying there is a new post, because there had been, but it had since been deleted.

Thank you.

I dont know how spammers sleep at night - I suppose it is this modern PC climate which tries to make honour and professionalism something to be avoided at all costs.

Suggest that we need a button on all new posts which enables us to call attention about a spam post to the on-duty moderator.

Spammers DON'T sleep at night. They spam all night so they can pay for their drugs by day (Grummble...) We used to have an option at the bottom of each post to allow it to be reported to a moderater. I think we need to bring that back. Any assistance in spotting spam is appreciated.
