Please, someone tell me how to stop getting e-mail notifications of responses to threads I'm subscribed to.

I understand the intent for newbies/infrequent users, but for us regulars, it's a curse.

Can't find any way to disable this in my profile. If this is automatic, it really should be set up as a user-controlled option, even if the default is set to send them. Then everyone could be happy.
