Message Button on iPhone App

Hi All,

Has anybody had an issue with the message section of the iPhone app? I recently changed my correspondence email address and replied to the verification email. Logged off and then back on, only to be presented with the message "you do not have access to private messaging"

My inbox appears to work on the normal web version of the forums.

Any ideas?

Haven't had that specific problem, but I have been unable to access links within private messages. I get an "access denied" message, and I'm have the problem on the iPhone app and the normal web site.

..I know it doesn't help, but I am relieved it isn't only me having an issue.
Oddly enough, it works fine on the iPad. The problem only appeared at the same time as i changed my email address.

Cavalier, I note no problems with your account - you must have clicked on the link in the email notification you received after you changed your email address, as you are in the Registered category where you're supposed to be. I note that you have fewer than 10 posts, which can effect some functions, so I've made a small change to your account to eliminate one possible glitch.

Let me know if the problem persists.

Hi - My app is not working. When I click on the app the home page opens for a second then disappears so I can't log in. Is this my problem or is the app having issues? Thanks!

Mine works fine, but what does the number on the iPhone icon mean? It's not messages for me. Is it unread posts?

it probably means there is an update to the app. click on "app store" and then click on "updates" (which should also have a number on it)...

[Prerequisite]

The number means a new post in a thread you are subscribed to. Click 'More' then 'Subscribed'.

If your app is not working, uninstall it, update your phone and then redownload from itunes.

I had a look at one of these iphones. Gee and I thought my laptop running on steam was complicated.
