Lofrans windlass

I have a freedom 45
I bought a lafrans cayman windlass but it turns out I need the gyspy on the port side.
does any one know how to do this.
or I can sell it and buy one with the gyspy on the port side if you know of one
I need help

You can easily change the gypsy, that is for a new/other one: https://www.lofrans.com/product/4-Lo...5004-cayman-88
But I doubt if you can change the gypsy from starboard to port and the rope drum from port to SB. Maybe contact the dealer/manufacturer?

The obvious soltution is to change the anchorchain to the SB side, but I am sure that you considered that, hence your post here.
Another solution is to get another windlass, different brand... hmmm.... most of them have the chain gypsy on the SB side.... and only some bigger units have chain gypsies on both sides. Check out Lofrans Titan, maybe a tad too big for your boat

yea I have been through all that
lofrans says it can be done but they say don't do it. they want 2300 to do it
I ordered a new main shaft
I was just hoping for help
