Increase the Width of the Forum?

On my screen the forum appears to be approximately the width of a paper page, with ~ 3 inches of empty space on each side.

As a result all the threads captions (titles) are really compressed and you only get to see about the first three words of each title.

Is there a way to make the forum use the whole width of screen available?

Thanks,

There's no way for a user to change the page layouts. But, you can see more of the thread titles if you view them using "New Posts", or "Discussion Board". The "Home Page Portal" has the listing of members online on the left, which takes up some space and shortens the titles.

Yes!

In most browsers go to "View" or "Page" and set the ZOOM control up to 150%.

The forum looks great!

Get Maxthon and it dumps all the ads too

While that will make it easier for older eyes to read the copy, Half-Century Mark, it won't alter the layout. In other words, the truncated thread titles will be larger, along with everything else on the page, but they will still be shortened to fit their allotted space on the page. In fact, if altering the zoom level could alter the page layout, it would be necessary to zoom in the other direction; that is, zoom out to create more space so the whole title could fit.

It appears that the original width of the display area of the forum is set at 790 px. That would have to be changed for the page layout to appear wider on the screen. In some of the websites that I write, I set the display area at a percentage of the screen width (such as 80% etc). This automatically adjusts the display to fit the screen - but can also open a whole new can of worms in how the web page displays.
