Dave, I think that was SaucySailoress who posted that message.

Normally Registered Users cannot alter their title, but I will look into it.

Look in your user cp for "edit details" on the left side menu, then over in the center section look for Optional Information. You should see an option for custom user title. After you have made the changes be sure to scroll down and click save.

Re: how to edit my " registered User" text

For me there isn't an option to change it under optional informational. I could have sworn mine said "Mermaid" but now I see that's on SailNet. Now I feel like such a lowly "registered user," but I think I'll survive. Just not worth the $15.01 to me. But it would be cool if "thanks" points could earn custom-naming privileges.

I don't see option for custom user title in "optional information". How does one change their title from "Registered User"?

Suggestions?

So Dave, how did you change your user title from "Registered User" to "Nearly an old salt"?

Awesome! I'm a "navigator" now! Thanks!

Janet H's instructions worked for me.

I think David_Old_Jersey had it right in post #3. It must be a perk for being a forum supporter.

IMHO, US$15.01 per year isn't a lot to pay for all the great info and interactions in these forums. Besides, I'm pretty sure most traffic at my own website comes from here.

Cheers!

Re: how to edit my " registered User" text

Thank you Sean,

I had read that post #3 but wasn't sure because I see a lot of various titles for members that aren't listed as a forum supporter.

It was hoped that the moderator that said she was going to check on it would follow up.

Fair winds.

AFAIK, members who were around before the "paid supporter" option was offered (and who had high post counts) were grandfathered as having the option to edit their titles.
