How Long Are Posts Retained ?

There is a current discussion relative to crew paying there own way.

Quite some time ago there was another thread that included many excellent posts. I wanted to refer back to that.

I searched my profile for all my posts and they only go back a little over 2 years. I am sure the crew discussion was older than that. Mine stop at 500 which indicates it may be the number of posts rather than time that is the limiter.

How long do posts remain search-able and/or is there a way to get to older posts?

I've been told that, whilst each member's "find all posts by" archive only retains the latest 500 posts, every post remain searchable, right back to the very beginning.
Good luck.

Yes, the software only shows you the last 500 posts, but posts older than the last 500 are never deleted. Every precious word of every post that was not edited for Rules violations, or illegal content, or any other valid reason is still in the database.

If if's your own post, it helps to have a good memory. If it isn't, then being adept at using Google is helpful.
