The Knotty Story

Rick was searching for something by key words "north shore Lake Superior" when he found the site. He would read bits of the posts to me and sometimes the different tag lines. I thought he was on news groups. I asked him about it one night and he sent me the link. I really liked the site and sense of community, so I joined too.

We are moving up!

Google:

Sailing Forums = 1
Sailing Foum = 3
Cruisers Forums = 2
Cruisers Forum = 1

I have not even installed all the search engine optimization features yet. I am going to guess (based on past results on projects I worked on) that we will increase traffic from very specific search queries 3x-5x in the next year...

Interesting question really.

My answer is, "exactly how did I get here", I can't recall specifically. I think I stumbled across this site as it was linked from another website somewhere. I had been investigating making my own wooden boat just for fun and learning how to sail in it and I believe this site was listed under that sites links.

Believe me, I'm glad I found it and after experiencing the Sailing Anarchy site, this sit is as welcome as a sheltered cove in a tropical storm. I have been reading and visiting the site just about every day since I've found it and have enjoyed the education process to date.

It's always great to find a well maintained and monitored website whenever one is starting to research an new pursuit.

I found this forum while looking for a replacement for Sailnet. The Sailnet site crashes so often that it's reached a point of dimished returns for me. I Googled "Sailing Forum" and this was the first one I found.

soemone from Renegade Cruisers mentioned the site.

Not sure if it was Auspicious or not, think so.

How I found Cruiser's Forum

Hello everyone, I'm new 2 the forum but here to learn and to pass anything I've learned. I found this forum strictly by accident while following another search on sailboats. Liked what I saw, so I joined. Hope to learn more.

After looking at an old fixer upper Bristol I had many repair questions. So, as I repeatedly searched in Yahoo for sites, it seemed I was getting alot of answers here.
