Re: Dodge frame

Well, I think it's a vastly long discourse to do on a forum. There may be Youtube video or articles on it, try Google.
Basically you need to:
-identify where your deck attachments are to be
-Design the shape you want, some are tall and rounded some are low and more squared off.
-Most have the forward "hoop" tubing a bit lower than the aft one..
-Most people never fold up their dodgers, but if you want to do this, be sure to design it around having that feature.
-Once the tubing is fabricated and installed, use clear plastic to create the fabric pattern..

If by "how to measure" you mean to buy a premade dodger. Ask the maker what they need.

Re: Dodge frame

And I was going to answer that it's much easier with the body and drivetrain out. Then the frame is just sitting there on the axles and is much easier to do whatever measuring is necessary.

But Cheechako's response leads me to believe that the original poster meant "Dodger" not "Dodge."

You might also try Googling "Sprayhood" in addition to dodger as this the English word. Dodgers tend to be used on the sides of the cockpits.

How to measure one well that's why they cost a fortune as there is quite a bit of work getting it right. Ours is just low enough I can see over the top but my wife needs a 2" block to stand on.
