Deleting classified ad

Can somebody please tell me how to get rid of an unwanted classified ad?
I have an ad for an item that has been sold and want it deleted.

Re: Deleting classified ad

PM any mod with a link and we will move it to the archive for you. I looked at your ads, but didn't know which was sold

Re: Deleting classified ad

It's the Garmin charts one. According to instructions there is supposed to be an edit button somewhere on the ad that I could not find. So do I always need to contact a moderator to remove an ad?

NO.
People have been known to cause problems and then delete the offending post and deny it ever happened. There is a period of time after making a post where corrections can be made and then the only way to correct is to contact a mod and ask them nicely.........

Generally the mod team is extremely helpful on all levels. Just dont ask to borrow $10

A lot of slack is given to certain posters or comments. Most infractions are dealt with gently and in private. It is particularly upsetting when help has been extended to individuals over years sometimes, and then they turn on the mod team and blame them for a lot of stuff. Such is the rich tapestry of life populated by rear orifices when it suits them to be particularly rear orificey. A person joining the mod team team who has a caring nurturing nature, will soon be cured of it in 6 months. Some members are........ difficult and dont want to play nicely.

Its a tough volunteer position. The team goes through changes and finds a balance, sometimes not as good as it could be but it evens out in due course, nothing is easy dealing with thousands of people to try and please everyone.

Boating information on CF is some of the best around. Thats why I joined and thats why I stay. No need for nastiness, but obviously some disagree with that.

So....... thats why you cant delete your own post.
