Could the admin turn on RSS?

You'll still get ad revenue when people view posts and it'd make it a lot easier to keep track of new discussions.

Any progress on this. I think you'd see a lot more traffic if you had RSS. I don't (and imagine many others don't) have time to go to dozens of sites everyday and see if something new has been posted.

First, bumping is not allowed on this forum.

I have had success subscribing to threads and asking for daily or weekly updates by email by uising the thread menu. I think you can also subscribe to a whole forum by using the fourm tools while viewing the forum.

Until/if the RSS is decided upon you might experiment with those options.

And what is RSS?

Some kind of e-mail notification?

All the "stuff" that makes up a web page is in codes. When you come to this site your browser requests the stuff (pulls) the content.

RSS allows you to subscribe to the "stuff" and it is "pushed" to your machine. An RSS compatible browser or reader decodes all the "stuff" and you can read it.

It saves you from coming here for the stuff...

Can you text me the updates to my iphone on the threads I have posted to, to save me logging on to CF via the chart plotter and ENC software.

Just kidding - please don't censor me

RSS allows me to watch movies on my computer. It starts the down load for a minute or so then the movie comes on. While the movie is playing it's down loading more info as it plays and the movie continues to play all the way to the end.

Fancast | Watch Online Videos, TV, Movies, Trailers, and More!

It's also good for watching news casts, sports, games & etc.

Hope that helps!
