I purchased a full batten mainsail along with a stack pack sail cover, 3 years ago. The sail cover has leaked rain water from day one. A lot of water,, after an inch of rain I will have at least a gallon of water trapped in the sail foals. Is this normal??? The material was support to be Sunbella, but who knows for sure.
This trapped water has caused mold to grow on the mainsail. Second question, what is the best way to clean the sail and get most of the mold off.

Short of sending out to pros, I used some oxyclean and a soft scrub brush. Sail Cleaning | Sailing Vessel Vigah As you can see they were really stained.

Sunbrella loses it's water repellency, but 303 fabric guard restores it, for awhile, maybe a year?
