Apollo 1000w wind turbine

I'm trying to find out if anyone has bought / used the Apollo 6 Blade 1000w 12v ,AC wind turbine with Hybird RX charge controller ( solar/wind ) and a Dump Load ? And if you had what do you think of it ?
I found this setup on xbey item # 361276107846 . It is Designed in Canada .
Looking at the add , it has a comparison pictures of the Rotor and other parts .
The Rotor looks better then the competitors ( I think Air X Rotor)
The Apollo has front & rear bearings for Anti-Vibration.
Anti - leak system.
Better Yaw shaft Dual bearing system.
Six, Quiet performance injection mold blades.
If you haven't bought/used this wind turbine and would like to look at it and give me your honest opinion. Its for a 820 amp hr four AGM 31's system. I have a lot of electronics on my sailboat. I would appreciate it.
This system is in my price range & solar is not an option right now.
My other charging system is a NOCO Gen 4 x 10 amp smart charger , with a small 1000w 2 stroke gas generator .

I have a small problem with how to wire the Hybird RX charger controller.
I take it the charge controller changes the 12v AC TO 12v dc ?
On the side of the Hybird RX controller is a place negative & positive dummy load ( dump load ) ?
Output ( A ) negative & positive . = ( number one battery ) ?
Output ( B ) neg & pos . = ( # two battery ) ?
Output ( C ) neg & pos. = ( # three battery ) ?
Battery negative & positive . = ( # four battery ) ?

Or do i hook up wires from Battery negative & positive to all 4 batteries ?

The add said no Dump load NO warranty.
Would sure get the dump load.

Thanks setting at a stand still till i figure this out .
Thanks again.

Re: Apollo 1000w wind turbine

Hi everyone . I see 136 people looked at this thread & 0 made a comment . I really hope someone anyone has something to say about the Apollo 1000w wind turbine/controller/dump load set . Even it you haven't bought/used this product , could someone please look it up on ebay and tell me what they think of this 1000w turbine . One question is , does the design look as good to you as it does to me ? I only have enough money for this complete set up , not ever going to afford the big name brand turbine. My other question is , would you buy this ? It has an one year warranty , ebay and PayPal money back guarantees . I'm hoping someone points out a flaw in this system if there is one before i buy it . I plan to buy this sometime this coming week and i'm looking for a yes / no , looks ok to me , run , anything. Thanks .

Re: Apollo 1000w wind turbine

Some things that you should be aware of:
It is only for 24-volt systems.
The turbine has a diameter of 1524 mm.
(As compare Super wind has 1200 mm)
The turbine rotate @ rated power with 3000 rpm.
(As compare Super wind 1300 rpm)
The generator has a weight of 9.3 kg and a rated power of 900 W.
(As compare Super wind weight 11.5 kg and 350 W)
Both have bodies of aluminium.

Re: Apollo 1000w wind turbine

Thanks Lars L .
They make four models of the Apollo 1000w turbines ; a 12v DC, a 12v AC, a 24v DC, & a 24v AC. Each model is probably the same and the charge controller changes things or they are made a little different per model.
I need a lot mare than an 350w turbine till i can afford a 10-12 ft bimini and flexible solar panels .
Lara did you happen to look at the hole page ware the pictures of the construction of the parts is . I think it looks much better made then the Air X they show.
I realize the 3000 rpm is probably not a good thing , the 60" length will be alright , just a foot taller pole. Its the large watts i need , i don't have room for 2 or 3, 350w turbines. I guess i'll have to check on just how bad the RPM thing is.
This boat sure is a learning experience .
Thanks again for looking at it for me .

Check your specs, the controller says 40Amp total output. 13.5 volts and 40 amps to the battery is 550 watts in my book. Sounds a little to good to be true.

Re: Apollo 1000w wind turbine

Designed in Canada means made in China, not a bad thing but I find it hard to find any info on them besides resellers sites.......ok 6 blades sounds good BUT it is easier to balance 3, much much easier, the reason for more blades is to be able to make them shorter so the sweep is less, I also find it surprising that the price of the 12 volt, 550watt, 6 bladed unit is under $600......

Buy it and report back....
