Any chance of a dark mode?

Now we are on iOS13 and iPadOS13 is there any chance we could have the forum detect and switch to dark mode?

Guess you be better off asking the vBulletin people
https://www.vbulletin.com/
since that's what CF runs on.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Don't think vbulletin has has a UI overhaul in 500 years!

Probably not. This would involve building a new skin for our aging software and frankly is not time well spent. we have plans to move to a new software platform (xenforo) in the coming year what will have more capability.

In the meantime.... maybe sunglasses?

We're on 3.8.8, latest version is 5.5.4, just a few patches behind.

There's a reason we are on our current version. Later versions are rife with problems. We're staying here until we move to another platform. Here is just the latest in a long line of trouble: https://arstechnica.com/information-...vbulletin-bug/

The company that built the vB software was sold several years back and the original coders left en masse. Things quickly went down hill for what once was the best forum software available.

If you're interested in the soap opera of what happened here's some reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XenForo

We have been patiently waiting for xenforo to mature into a robust product and only then will we make a change - that time is nearing.

Many of the original developers of vB are now at XenForo.
Would be very interested to know more about the experience with vBulletin and the issues that are leading to the migration to XenForo. I am evaluating these software packages for a project and I am not getting a clear winner between the two...
Keep us posted on the migration plans and timing.
