I just saw a thread about baking and it sparked a question. We just bought a Seawind 1000 and it has a nice grill on it. We don't have an oven and I thought that would be a problem. Rusty doesn't want to get a convection oven because he thinks it would generate too much heat.

I never thought about baking on the grill. Is anyone out there familiar with the grill I am talking about? It is standard I think on Seawinds. If so, can you share any tips on baking on the grill. I am especially interested in baking bread...would love recipes. We are getting ready for our first extended cruise and I am a neophyte. All advice, wisdom etc. is welcomed.

Thanks,

Hello all,
We're in Miami trying to do some provisioning for our 6 month trip in the caribbean. Does anyone know of a good place here to find cheap food in bulk? The Costco prices are good but they require a $50 membership which we would like to avoid. Is our best bet going the Costco route or is there another store around here where we could stock up on stuff?

Thanks!

Hello there

Does anyone have recipes to exchange on this site, for I have looked and looked and can find nothing, despite the topic of food being paramount in every anchorage I have ever visited??

Pot-luck parties abound and the most amazing International food appears, so does anyone have recipes that are so mouth-wateringly good that to not share them would be a crime most hideous!!!

Thank you

I want to rig a board of some type that's mounted over the stern railing that can be used for messy projects, such as fish cleaning and other things. Rather than my re-inventing the wheel, what have other people already created that seems to work well?
