Francesco here, skipper of S/V Oroboro — a Leopard 40 cat we sailed out of Cape Town back in 2018. Three ocean crossings, 30,000+ miles, 35+ countries, and we're currently anchored somewhere in the Aegean trying to remember when we last changed the saildrive lip seals.

That last part is actually why I built this app.

Every boat management tool I tried was either built for marina managers who've never left the dock, or abandoned by some developer who lost interest after version 1.2.

Nothing was built for sailors who actually live aboard and deal with real paperwork, real maintenance schedules, and the particular joy of non-EU boats trying to stay legal in Greek waters.

So I spent some time to develop my own app.

The thing I'm most proud of: point your phone at anything — your maintenance log, an insurance certificate, a Victron device label, a box of pasta — and the AI reads it and imports the data into the right place automatically. No copying, no pasting, no reformatting spreadsheets.

For those of you in Greek waters: there's a Clearance dashboard that tracks your Transit Log validity, eTEPAY months paid, Schengen rolling 180-day window, and user expiry all in one screen — green, amber, or red. The Schengen calculator handles the rolling window correctly, which I know sounds obvious but apparently isn't for most apps.

Everything else you'd expect is there too — engine maintenance with service interval gauges, provisions, spare parts, LPG, watermaker, safety gear (flares, life raft revision log), shipyard history.

AES-256 encrypted so even I can't read your data. Syncs across all your devices so you and your crew are always looking at the same thing. No app store, no install — just open it in your browser and save it to your home screen.

It's free. I'm not trying to get rich, I just want other sailors to have something that actually works.

Practically speaking: do you carry a doctor's letter for everything? Translated copies for each country? Some ports seem to barely glance at it, others are very thorough.
Specific things I'd love to hear about:

Your documentation setup for controlled substances
Countries where you had real scrutiny (Caribbean, Pacific, SE Asia)
Whether a ship's medical log / official logbook entry has ever helped — or been requested
