I have a user permit, I have a fingerprint file that I used to obtain an install permit from O charts, I downloaded and extracted my charts onto my desktop, then added the directory to charts in open cpn, I have tested the permits and they are OK. I installed the permits in chart cells S63 tab but when I try to install/update the charts I get an SSE 10 error message saying Security Scheme Error SSE 10 Permits not available for this data provider.

I don't understand because the files were downloaded from an email from chartworld. I am using windows 11 on a new laptop. Can anyone shed light on what to do to download my charts I purchased form chartworld into open cpn?

OpenCPN tries direct after starting to load a chart, and that happens before the GL context is ready. This patron — GL-setup + direct chart render → crash — points strongly to a race condition or a bug in OpenCPN 5.14.0 with rendering a first chart on a Intel UHD 630.

I am trying to make a decision on what kind of used radar to equip.

So far I have looked at different locations and found different informations about what works and what does not... I guess that is because of posts/lists being compiled during different times. Also, the radar plugins mention what radars work with the corresponding plugin, but an overview matrix would be way more practical as an overview document. If this does not exist, and you agree the it should be up there in the documentation, I would gladly make one.

1.) Question:
Is there a complete list of known working radars for OCPN?

2.) Question:
I understand that magnetron radars are better for spotting squalls. I would prefer to have better squall detection. Is there a list of known working magnetron radars?

3.) Question:
Are there possibilities to use a magnetron radar directly with OCPN, or is it only possible to use them with a head unit that has a network output? If yes, are there any alternatives to make this work?

I have a Windows 11 PC running Open CPN 5.14. GPS is available via my PepLink router. In the connection dialog I have entered Network, UDP, NMEA0183, the IP Address of the GPS source on my router, and the port number 2000 and have "receive input" checked. The PC has a wi-fi connection to the router. In Open CPN it shows a connection but no data flowing and the GPS indicator in the upper right is red and the vessel icon is black.

In the data monitor I see data for a "virtual" connection with just sentence $WMHVD (I believe that is an obsolete sentence).

If I close Open CPN and start Coastal Explorer, GPS data is coming in and displaying just fine. This with the same GPS settings on CE as describe above.
