Insurance for Charter Yachts

I regularly charter yachts (mostly in the Mediterranean) and have been appalled at what seem to be recent increases in the costs of Yacht Damage Waivers. Typically these are around 30 euros per day for a 40ft, but there is still a liability for an excess of 600 euros in the event of any damage.If I choose not to buy the waiver, then the excess is 3-4000 euros. I have found a German-based insurer that offers YDW and excess coverage at much lower rates and the excess is 100 euros.
Anyone had experience of this type of insurance or can recommend other providers??
