Bahamas in November

Dear All,

I will be in the Bahamas this November for 5 days. 4 couples, no kids. We will take off from Marsh Harbour.

Would be great to hear some Dos and Dont's...

It is getting chilly: Coldfronts may be coming your way.
Or it could be super pleasant. Are you crossing from Florida on a boat, or flying?

We will fly and chill in a Cat for 5 days. Would you have suggestions for itinerary ?

5 days in November could be glorious or you could be nailed by a cold front the entire time.

Hard to make suggestions without knowing your desires. Hope Town, Pete's Place, maybe Treasure Cay, New Plymouth if the weather's good. Snorkel Fowel Cay reef, snorkel and enjoy the beach on Great Guana,

If you want to anchor with some seclusion consider No Name, Spoil, Water, Snake.

It's easy to provision yourself in Marsh Harbour. We often drop a couple people off at the grocery store on the way from the airport and also have the airport cab stop at a liquor store. Those at the grocery store and get a cab to the marina.

A great thing about chartering in the Abacos is you can be in a small town or resort every night or have an anchorage to yourself and fire on the beach. It's all a matter of your priorities and mood at the time.

Water can be on the cool side. Consider lightweight shortie wetsuits if you plan to do any prolonged snorkeling, lobstering, etc.

I highly recommend Little Harbor. Such a great little place. Sometimes dolphins come into the harbor. We were able to paddle board with them as they played in the harbor. Pete's pub is always fun.

Really enjoyed Hope Town too. Great little village and nice beach. Intended to just stay a few hours and ended up staying overnight.

Treasure key has a nice beach as well.

If you want to party there is always Guana Key and nippers.

Man-o-war key is a cute and secluded key. Great place to wind down.

Watch the wind direction and atlantic sea state as it can make the water a little rougher when traversing a cut (entrance to sea of Abaco from atlantic). Nothing too bad though.

The water will be chilly most of the way...even in the Florida Keys the water temps are chilly.

I thought I read something about a warning about the Bahamas. Can't find it now.

Thank you all for your kindness. We are really looking forward. Will consider a wet suit for those "allergic" to colder water. Sounds like the water temp averages are mid seventies. Cold front would definitely be a bummer.
