Nov 2014 - Newport RI to Virgin Gorda - Anyone else going??

we are sailing our boat Robin Hood to Bitter End Yacht Club for the winter likely via Bermuda departing once our insurance company will allow and weather dependent of course.

We have an experienced crew and a plan, just wondering if anyone else is planning on making the trip. Always nice to have folks around in the case you REALLY wish folks were around. :-)

We will be sailing from Jamestown, RI to St Martin (only 5 degree different course) via Bermuda.

We plan to make the first leg to Bermuda in early October and the second, southern leg in late November.

If you'd like we can exchange details and maintain radio contact if our passages coincide.

First year I won't be there. My boat was in the show last year so I got to spend the week there

I am planing on leaving from Cape Cod ( Nantucket ) between the middle and end of
October, also via Bermuda and the to the Virgins.
I will be visiting the Newport boat show on saturday

You all head out yet? This storm is a nasty one. Hope all are ok. We are hoping to shove off Saturday! Straight shot past Bermuda.

I left Hyannis and 28 hours later ended up in Montauk to sit this gale out. I have been here for 3 days and looks like another 2 before heading out. I am not doing Bermuda but the east coast to Bahamas now.
